About Jura Distillery
The distillery is today owned by Whyte & Mackay. The current capacity is 2.2 million litres of spirit per annum and it boasts a number of single malt releases alongside producing malt for the Whyte & Mackay blends.
The distillery is a key employer on the island, which has less than 200 residents. The isle of Jura is 60 miles from the Scottish mainland, accessible by ferry via Islay. It is only seven miles wide and 30 miles long, with only one road, one pub and the distillery.
