Craigellachie Distillery - Cask Spirits Global

About Craigellachie Distillery

The distillery was built in 1891 and designed by the famous whisky architect of the time, Charles Doig. Craigellachie translates to ‘rocky hill’ referring to the cliff that overlooks the nearby River Spey.

It went through numerous hands over the years, finally falling into the hands of John Dewar & Sons (whose parent company is Bacardi), and is still active and owned by them today. It currently produces just over 4 million litres per annum, with most of that spirit going on to use in blended whiskies such as Dewar’s White Label.
