About Glenlivet Distillery
The distillery is now owned by Pernod Ricard and is one of the most modern in Scotland after numerous refurbishments and expansions which cost more than £10 million. The current capacity is approximately 10.5 million litres of spirit per annum and it is one of the biggest single malt producers in Scotland.
The Glenlivet distillery is one of the few in Scotland which has remained open for nearly all of its life since being established, with its only closure happening during World War II.
It is known for producing a fruity, soft Speyside malt which, when it was first created, was a very different style than other heavier Highland malts of its day.
